Nestled within the serene environs of Hobli, Bengaluru, the Chaithanya Samarth Villa stands as an ode to timeless Indian craftsmanship fused with contemporary elegance. Designed by Manmeet Bevli Design, this 4,592 sq. ft. residential villa is a carefully stitched narrative of two contrasting visions, woven into a singular, soulful home. For those seeking luxury custom home interiors in Bangalore, this project exemplifies how art, heritage, and modern living can coexist beautifully.

A Journey from Contrast to Cohesion

Every bespoke interior design project begins with a unique challenge. In this villa, it was a seemingly irreconcilable difference in tastes: the husband’s preference for minimal, plain, white spaces devoid of artifice, and the wife’s love for vibrant, deeply rooted colors.

Through meticulous curation, we transformed this contrast into a harmonious masterpiece. At the heart of this transformation was a singular object of inspiration: a custom hand-painted pooja door. Chosen and painted first, it became the genesis of the home’s color story and design language. This artistic anchor radiated across every corner, from the muted textiles to the custom-crafted furniture and thoughtfully revived antiques, showcasing our signature approach to art-led interior design.

Rooted Elegance and Functional Grace

The villa’s design ethos embraces a refined palette of soft whites, warm beiges, and muted creams. This serene canvas highlights both ancestral artistry and modern minimalism. Architectural interventions such as the three-step coffered ceiling and custom garden lattices effortlessly reconcile spatial challenges, restoring volume and privacy while enhancing natural light.

Spaces are thoughtfully zoned to invite the outside in. An upper-floor deck, once underutilized, now pulses as a lively entertainment nook, while lush trellises softened by bougainvillea create intimate garden retreats. As specialists in luxury outdoor landscape design in Bangalore, integrating nature seamlessly into the architecture was a priority.

Room by Room: Signature Stories

Every space within the Chaithanya Samarth Villa unfolds as a chapter in a larger story, reflecting the pinnacle of premium residential interiors.

The Living and Dining Area

The living and dining areas form the heart of the home, expansive under a breathtaking, hand-carved coffered ceiling that bathes the space in soft luminosity. Here, ivory and beige sofas, grounded in grey, invite intimate gatherings, while accents of burnt red and antique gold add a pulse of warmth. A pearl inlay and brass oval coffee table glimmers gently beside a silver-hammered console with artful gold handles and a matching carved mirror.

The Heritage Family Room

Upstairs, the family room embraces both heritage and comfort. It is a lived-in sanctuary marked by carved teak consoles, relic brackets, and antique angel sculptures that evoke serenity. A bespoke carved library in Balinese Burma teak wood forms the visual anchor, flanked by restored heirloom tables and plush leather sofas. Custom lantern pendants scatter warm light across Shiva-inspired artwork and Naga wooden bowls brimming with greenery, folding memory and modern comfort into seamless harmony.

The Staircase & Transitional Spaces

The staircase zone transforms transition into design poetry. Beneath it, concealed shutters with teak wood tops hide clever storage, elegantly layered with artifacts, family photographs, and planters in an aged patina. The stairwell itself, lined with architectural mouldings and lit by a sweeping metal chandelier and crystal-draped sconce, rises with quiet grandeur.

Restored heritage pieces, a transformed marble lion lamp, a carved pillar turned light base, and delicately framed four-panel carved mirrors, converse effortlessly with the modern palette. The dining nook, upholstered in a luxuriant Sabyasachi floral print of gold, red, and olive, glows beneath a crystal chandelier that mirrors the sensuous red-and-gold wallpaper of the powder room beyond.

Bespoke Kitchen Interiors

In the kitchens, craftsmanship meets functionality. The main kitchen, wrapped in PU-finish beige shutters and accented with a teak island, quartz counters, and carved cornices, radiates quiet sophistication. Display cabinets reveal treasured brassware, while a sculpted chimney hood crowns the ensemble. The adjoining wet kitchen continues the narrative in earthy garden-beach tones, seamlessly blending utility with elegance through its carved detailing and textural touches.

Bedrooms: Intimate Sanctuaries

The bedrooms tell more intimate stories of high-end interior styling:

  • The Guest Room: Alive with the glow of orange-hued seating inspired by Kerala mural art, this room introduces the intricate work of artisans with rich fabric inlays and textiles drawn from the house of Ritu Kumar.
  • The Master Bedroom: Featuring a regal carved teak bed, this space evokes earthy tranquility and grace. A dressing mirror, framed from joined carved wooden brackets, captures light with artisanal charm.
  • The Third Bedroom: Finished in an ashwood grey carved panel with a white arch design, honoring restful comfort and intricate craftsmanship in equal measure.

The Study Room

Finally, the study room embodies quiet reflection. A full-height library wall, dotted with niches for art and travel mementos, flows into a natural woodgrain desk bathed in soft daylight. It is a space of intellect and introspection, designed as much for stillness as for inspiration.

Craftsmanship That Speaks

Scattered throughout the villa are echoes of artisan mastery and heritage reimagined. From the intricately painted pooja door and bespoke custom-made lamp bases to hand-painted Kerala mural arts and antique family heirlooms restored with muted finishes. We actively engage in sourcing custom furniture and decor in Bangalore, ensuring every artifact and textile is a deliberate brushstroke in a storied composition of lived heritage infused with modern luxury.

A Palette That Breathes and Unites

The villa’s color story is a soft symphony. Beige Italian marble floors underpin walls painted in tranquil neutral hues, while pops of ochre, burnt red, terracotta, and sage green subtly punctuate through furnishings, artworks, and accessories. The tactile interplay of rich velvets, linens, raw silks, and handwoven cotton enriches the sensory experience without excess, crafting a home that truly breathes.

Beyond Design: The Soul of Chaithanya Samarth

This villa is a living narrative of individuality, legacy, and partnership. It celebrates the art of layering colors, textures, memories, and futures, harmonizing the minimal and the vibrant. Here, every corner invites warmth, connection, and quiet elegance, revealing a home that is as thoughtfully curated as it is deeply personal.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  1. How do you blend traditional Indian heritage with modern interior design? At Manmeet Bevli Design, we believe in “contrast to cohesion.” We use a neutral, modern canvas, like muted walls and clean architectural lines and layer it with deeply rooted traditional elements. In the Chaithanya Samarth Villa, we achieved this by pairing contemporary Italian marble and minimalist lighting with restored antique heirlooms, Sabyasachi fabrics, and custom-carved Balinese teakwood.
  2. Does Manmeet Bevli Design provide custom furniture and art curation in Bangalore? Yes. We specialize in bespoke interior styling. Rather than relying solely on catalog furniture, we actively engage in sourcing unique paintings, restoring heritage heirlooms, and crafting custom furniture from pearl inlay coffee tables to hand-painted pooja doors to ensure your home is entirely unique to you.
  3. Can you incorporate existing family heirlooms into a new luxury home design? Absolutely. We excel at integrating ancestral pieces into modern luxury settings. We often restore antique family heirlooms with muted finishes or repurpose architectural salvage (like turning a carved pillar into a custom lamp base) so that your lineage is celebrated elegantly without overwhelming the modern space.
